NNLA, in a joint effort with the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum http://arboretum.unl.edu/greatplants.html, promotes the GreatPlants Program. The program selects underused, hardy, easy to care for and ornamentally friendly plants for the Nebraska region. Each year, new species are selected in four categories: tree, shrub, perennial and grasses for Plants of the Year, GreatPlant releases and Introductions. Members vote on the selections in January at the Nebraska Green Expo.

Contact the NNLA or the NSA for Nursery supplier lists or ask for GreatPlants at your local nursery. The "GreatPlants Gardner" newspaper is available to nurseries to display and give to their customers. For a supply of newspapers call: 402 472-2971.
